Hey lovelies, Its been a while but Studio Katia has a new release and its a good one !!! It includes 7 Stamp Sets, 5 stand alone dies, 6 stencils and a new embellishment mix. The whole of the new release can be found here.
I actually struggled for which set to use first for my card but settled on the new Catus Hugs Stamp set along with the outside part of the new Scallop Hearts Cover Die.
I stamped one of the catus stamps onto some grey cardstock and then coloured it with watercolour pencils, minus the water ! by doing this you end up with a really intense color which i love.
I stamped using a faint ink pad to do this technique and love how it turned out. I added a hugs sentiment from the same stamp set and some white gel pen for detail.
I then die cut the whole piece out and adhered using foam tape to an A2 top folding note card.
A Cas design thats perfect for so many occasions.
If you are folling the hop you should have arrived here from the lovely Galina Filippenko and your next stop is amazing Liliya Rytsar

ReplyDeleteSo beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSimple - and very effective - nice job!
ReplyDeleteI like how you paired the prickly cactus with HUGS. Simple, yet funny since hugging a cactus is anything but comforting. And you also used a scalloped, cute die, which goes against the cactus look. I LOVE this. I try to do the same thing sometimes. Sort of like shabby chic. Sort of an oxymoron....
ReplyDeleteI like how you paired the bright pinks with gold. I have never used that combination. Nice...
ReplyDeleteI like the way you colored the cactus and around it. It is very soft and nice. Good job.
