Hey lovelies, I am super excited and honoured to be part of Studio Katia's Second Birthday Blog Hop. As you know I am one of the current design team members.
Last year I was part of the first birthday celebrations and really didn't have any idea id end up a design team member. Katia is one of the sweetest, kindest and most generous people I have ever met and I know that Studio Katia will continue to grow.
Anyway mushy stuff over with and onto the hop details. You should have arrived here from the lovely Heather Hoffmans
This is day two of the hop, to check out yesterdays hop click here.
Katia is very kindly giving 2 $100 CAD Gift cards to 2 randomly selected winners, but you need to comment on all the blogs along the hop by Saturday, June 2nd, 2018 11:59 PM EST.
Please make sure you head on over to the Studio Katia Blog for the full details on how you can win.
For my card for the hop I just couldn't resist the new Lovely Blooms Stamp Set
I know so many people on the hop have used this and loved it but I wanted to try something different with it rather than my usual colouring.

After watching Amy R work wonders with the New Nuvo Shimmer Powders I orders a couple of colours not knowing what to expect, or if i would even like them...well i LOVE them and now want the whole set !
I wanted the stamp set to be quite subtle against the background, but also stand out...if that makes any sense to you at all. So I heat embossed the stamp using Simon Says Stamp Fine detail gold embossing powder onto some Canson Watercolor Paper and used Masking fluid whilst I played with the Shimmer Powders.
Once that was dry I used some Warm Grey Polychromo Pencils to add just some shading, I really didn't want it to be too in-depth, just enough to make sure the image had some dimension to it.
I used one of the sentiments from the new Birthday Greetings Stamp set.

This has some awesome crafty related messages which I love and I know this set will get tons of use.
I stamped the sentiment using Simons Black ink and my Misti.
I then adhered the panel to an Ivory Card Base and finished the card off by adding some of the new April Crystals.

This was one of those cards I had so much creating i didn't card how it turned out...luckily I liked it :)
I hope you like what I created and its given you some inspiration.
Make sure you check out every stop on the hop, your next stop is -
