Simon Saturday | 3 cards 1 hour| SSS Card Kit

Hey lovelies, I hope you are all having a great weekend so far ?

Today on Simon Saturday is another 3 cards in 1 hour using the May card kit from Simon, This kit has now sold out, but i will list all the elements with all supplies used at the end of this post.

Simon did another great kit this month, the kit included 2 stamp sets which seems to be quite common for them now and I love that they do that as it allows you to get more out of the kit.

There was 2 sets of stickers in this months kit, Stickers are something i tend to have a love hate relationship with and the ones this month i LOVE. The kit featured products from Pink Fresh Studios Let Your Heart Decide Range and I will be ordering more as I think its a very beautiful, versatile range.

For the first card I used one of the papers along with the Heart Die included which has the shadow..I love that more companies are doing these dies now.

The heart stickers are all from one of the sets and I think these puffy stickers are lovely and feel very nice quality. I have a few puffy sticker sets which feel cheap, these certainly don't.

Also in the kit was 3 Grey card bases and I used one here, the only non kit items were the Wonky Stitch Die, Heart Die & Vellum.

Really happy with this card and it could be used for so many different occasions.

In the kit is a large stamp with some great large sentiments by Kristina Werner and some lovely floral stamps. There is also two of Simon's Hybrid Ink Cubes, which i used along with a couple of Simon's Other Ink cubes for my next card.

I randomly stamped the floral images direct to an A2 notecard and then added one of the sentiments using Simons Intense Black Ink.

To finish off I added some Nuvo Drops for some Dimension.

My final card nearly went into the bin, but im kinda happy i stuck with it. I used the largest sentiment from the set and i think its going to be perfect for so many of us crafter's to send to our crafty friends.

I heat embossed the sentiment directly to the card base using Simons Fine Detail Gold Embossing powder. I thought the paper from the kit went well with the sentiment so I added a strip along the edge of the card along with a thin strip of the Audrey Blue Card.

I added a couple of the puffy heart stickers for dimension. I thought the sentiment didn't stand out enough so I added some detailing using white gel pen, this is a great way to make a sentiment "pop" a little more.

I will be honest I had a ton of ideas for this kit once I'd finished these cards and i'm actually excited to work with it a bit more. I think sometimes certain kits give you that bit more inspiration than others.

If I was to recommend anything from this kit it would be the Everything Together Stamp set as I love the large sentiments and floral elements.

  1. A trio of delights to showcase the new kit, Tracy! I've never used puffy stickers on cards, as I wouldn't know what to do with them! Your ideas on the first have started the gears turning! Simply the Best Ever is a wonderful sentiment and the palette of your flowers is lovely. I'm glad you spared the third from the recycle bin; the snippet of patterned paper is perfect for the sentiment! Crafty friends - or any friends, for that matter - would be thrilled to discover this sweet note in their mailbox! Looking forward to more of your creativity with this kit....
