Hiya, I hope you are all having a great day ?
I wanted to share another rainbow card I created for the Pretty Pink Posh Rainbow Challenge. I had this idea in my head after the awful events in Orlando.
The world definitely needs more love for everyone, that was the idea behind this card, And is something I firmly believe in.
I lined up the nesting heart dies on some Strathmore Water Colour cardstock and run it through my die cutting machine. I didn't want to do any fancy colouring on the hearts so I took my Spectrum Aqua Markers and coloured each heart in the following colours:
Sunflower, Crimson, Budgreen & Kingfisher
Once dry I flicked some water over them and blotted it off with some tissue and then left them to dry.
I then used the largest heart and die cut it out of some Neenah so that I could create a inlaid die card.
I was going to leave it plain white but i kept looking and decided on flicking some colour across it, so I scribbled the same Spectrum Aqua colours onto my mat and mixed it with some water and then using a small brush I flicked the colours across the card.
For the sentiment I die cut some Neenah, along with some black card and some black fun foam.
On the Black card and the Neenah I used my Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle pen to add some sparkle and the I used my Xyron machine to apply adhesive to them.
I laid the Neenah slightly off centre over the black so the black acts kinda like a shadow...I really like this look, but it was fiddly to get it right....I will add it wasn't helped by the fact that Chloe the cat was demanding my attention and attempting to steal some sequins !
I then adhered them to the fun foam to give it some dimension, I really wanted the love die to be quite dimensional.
I then started pulling the card together, I used some Ranger Multi Medium Matt to adhere the heart pieces and I used some more fun foam to adhere the whole panel to A2 card base.
I finished off with some Pretty Pink Posh Sequins, a few are from some of their fab mixes and are all listed and linked below.
Speaking of Pretty Pink Posh I am entering this into the current Rainbow Challenge
I have to thank Paulina and the team, I have loved this challenge and really do have TONS more ideas.
I will be making some more of these cards and mailing them out to people, just to try and spread a little bit of love. If you would like to receive one then let me know via email (email address is in my sidebar) and I will send some love through the post to you.
I hope you all have a great day. Thank you so much for stopping by to my little corner of blogland.
Happy Crafting :)
