Good morning lovelies, I hope you are all well ?
It is a cold and wet morning here so i intend on spending the day crafting and wrapping gifts.
I wanted to share with you 2 cards i made yesterday, I have taken the Die'sire Ivy Die and used it in a slightly different way.
I have coloured the ivy with my Spectrum Noir Sparkles in Holly Leaf and then using some supersticky tape I arranged in a wreath shape tucking in the ends. You do have to be careful and slightly bend the diecut.
I did the two cards ever so slightly different, on one card i used two more die cuts and i have to admit i prefer the "fuller" look. And I also changed the position of the bow
Here is the fuller one, I also added gems & enamel dots as i went, but i tried to hide them so they just peeked out as I wanted them to be subtle.
This one is the one with less die cuts on.
I have used some washi tape behind the sentiment, i did it without at first but it was missing something.
I am loving this sentiment at the moment, it is from the Nordic Christmas range and I have stamped it using Lawn Fawn Inkpad. Using a gel pen I added some faux stitching around the edge.
I LOVE the sparkle the new Spectrum Noir Pens give, and this colour really is perfect for leafs.
So there you go, a slightly different way to use a die. I have used the small ivy die for this as it is a 5x5.5" card, but if you wanted to go bigger then the larger ivy die would be perfect and you could maybe build the layers up more.
I hope you all have a great weekend.
Happy Crafting
x
