How did you get started in paper crafting ?
I have always
had a bit of an obsession with paper and paint, as a child I never
wanted to go outside and play, I just wanted to sit and paint or make
things with paper.
From a teenager I did some basic water colouring and cross stitch, then one day I saw a card making kit and decided to give it a try and then I was hooked !
I did have a few years where life took a different turn and I ended up giving up crafting, but then my husband suggested I get back into it and he got me some crafting bits, fast forwards several years to today.

What advice would you give to someone wanting to give crafting a try ?
DO IT ! No
seriously my advice is just get some basic supplies and see if you like
it.
The main thing to remember is enjoy it, it is just paper and crafting is meant to be fun.
Also remember there is a lot of different techniques so if you find you don’t like stamping for example then why not try working with die’s.
What are your crafting items you couldn’t live without ?
This is a tricky one…I suppose everything starts with card so it would be that.
The things I use on pretty much every card are –
Stamping tool
Die cutting machine
Ink
So I’d say they are my must have items.
Where does the name Inkyfingers and Ribbon come from ?
I used to
have an insane amount of ribbon and would always try and squeeze it on a
card somewhere. I have always loved getting inky and would regularly
have inky fingers so they just came together that way.
What equipment do you use to record your videos and take photos ?
I am on a
budget so I really do not use anything fancy. My camcorder is a Canon
Legria HF M406 and I cannot recommend it enough. I have my
tripod/bracket mounted to my wall as I cannot work with a tripod on my
desk.
For lighting I use a couple of Daylight lamps.
For taking pictures I use an iPhone, I have played around with a few different cameras but honestly the iPhone is nice and easy and takes some nice photos.
For editing I use Adobe Premiere Pro for Videos and photoshop for photos.

Do you teach crafting ?
As much as I would love to, I don’t. But you can check out various online card making classes. Scrapbook.com has
various classes and helpful resources. You could also have a look
around online, or local press to see if anyone in your area runs a craft
club.
What Cardstock do you recommend ?
Neenah for
white card stock, its amazing ! you can color on it, ink it, die cut it
and use it for card bases, it really is a brilliant card and also comes
in a kraft color too now.
