Simon Saturday | STAMPtember !!!

It is finally here, the Christmas for crafters....

Incase you are wondering what I am going on about STAMPtember is a month long celebration that is held every September by Simon Says Stamp, It includes tons of amazing things including Exclusive Collaborations, New releases, Giveaways & much much warned your bank account with be groaning.

The STAMPtember Release is now live and can be found here or listed at the end of this blog post

I have been busy creating some cards using some of the awesome new release and will be sharing one of the cards with you today.

It is created using a brilliant set called Birthday Borders which is a great Birthday set and what I really like about it is that is can be used for anyone, any age.

It includes several different candle images, including solid ones of you are not a colorist.

I took the individual candle image and repeatedly stamped it and then coloured it in using my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and then  used the matching die set to die cut each one out.

To mix it up slightly I also added some white gel pen detailing.

The base of the card I added some lawn fawn rainbow plaid paper. I wanted a "glow" behind the candles so I used some Distress Ink Squeezed lemonade and blended it where i knew the candles would be.

I then took one of the funny sentiments (there is a couple, please some more everyday birthday ones) and heat embossed it onto some black card.

I had a lot of fun arranging the candles behind the sentiment, which I then popped up with some foam tape.

I can see this being a hugely popular set and is a great staple set to have in your collection, I also really like the co ordinating dies for the set too.

Make sure you head on over to Simon's Facebook Page & Instagram to check out all the latest information for STAMPtemper. And also make sure you check back to my blog tomorrow for something exciting and fun....
