Well I hope the weather isn't melting hot for everyone, I haven't been able to get my craft room for ages now because it has just been too hot and the heat flares my arthritis up. But today there is a lovely cool breeze and I am thankful that I can craft :)

On to the challenge. I dug out my Distress Ink minis for this challenge, I neglect them a lot since the Oxides came along and yet playing with them again don't know why as they really are totally different inks.

I have used an old favourite technique of mine for both these cards, Water stamping.

This is exactly what it sounds like and works with any water reactive medium.

I used various Distress Inks (all are listed in the supply list below) and inked up two panels of Neenah Solar white, I kept the colours quite soft.

I then took Simon's Cosmos Background Stamp and misted over it with some shimmer water...I make this by adding some Mica powder to water in a spray bottle, it gives a gorgeous effect as you can see here.

I then stamped the panels and leave the stamp in place for around 20-30 seconds, lift the stamp up and gently blot any excess and leave to dry naturally. It is a technique i don't use often and wish i used it more as it really is a firm favourite.

I used a few different SSS word dies and stamp sets to finish both the cards off.

Complete shock horror I didn't use any sequins or embellishments....it was tempting though.
