Hey lovelies, I hope you are all having a great week ?
It is Wednesday which means..
Welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
Thank you for joining us for the Food and/or Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week the challenge is
Anything Goes
We are showcasing some fabulous Stampendous Productsthis week. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used!
The lovely folks over at Simon Says Stamp are generously giving away a FABULOUS $50 voucher to shop at the Simon Says Stamp Store!
I recently got the Alcohol ink lift ink pad so decided for this challenge to dig out my alcohol inks. I really need to practice more with these as I have got so rusty, but I had lots of fun and ended up with VERY inky fingers.
I thought this stamp set worked well with the "theme" of the card and I double stamped it. I did then transfer it to another card as my plan was to create two cards for this weeks challenge, and then I ended up with a huge dirty alcohol ink fingers print smack bang in the centre of the other one.
This ink pad is fun to use though and I can't wait to play around with it some more.
I picked a sentiment from an older SSS stamp set and heat embossed it and added it along the top.
A fairly simple card, but a fun one to create none the less.
Do you use Instagram ? If so please add #ssswchallenge to your challenge entry uploads so we can see them on there too !

Beautiful card, Tracy ! Love the charming orange & red colors...and your stamped image is so beautiful. I can feel some nostalgic mood from this card. I haven't tried my alcohol lift ink yet...I will soon try it :) TFS. Have a lovely day.

This is fall on a card for sure, Tracy - beautiful!
ReplyDeleteFabulous background!!! <3
ReplyDeleteYou've captured fall's colours beautifully, Tracy; a lovely background for your pretty images! Can you believe: I still haven't tried alcohol ink blending yet, even though I have a set of three inks and Yupo paper awaiting a play date! Need to give that a go...and I'm sure, after enough practice, the lift ink will be joining my collection...

ReplyDeleteHi Tracy! I absolutely love the fiery red background you achieve with your alcohol inks! I am really digging the alcohol ink lift technique and you have used it wonderfully! Thank you so much for sharing and also for your kind compliment on my card. You are very sweet! Have a lovely day! xx Ankita

ReplyDeleteOh wow--what a stunner! I never get a background like this when I use my AIs, but I'm going to try again! I ordered the lift pad, so we'll see if I can make use of it. You've inspired me, Tracy!
