For the hop I have created several cards. It was VERY hard not to use the florals....I swear Katia releases more and more beautiful florals as time goes on....but i wanted to go for something differently to what I normally do.
My first card I couldn't resist the new Confetti Stencil which has SO many uses. I inked through the stencil turning it each time I wanted a different color and on the last turn I used Decofoil Transfer Gel Medium as once that was try I set about foiling it.
Once foiled I trimmed the panel down and added it to a pink card base and then stamped the new Confetti Kindness Stamp onto some Neenah and die cut using Katia's Dotted Ovals dies and added some of the new Glam Crystals to finish.
For the second card I used the utterly fantastic Whimsical Town Stamp Set, My plan was too create a whole town scene, but i kept getting drawn to one particular house so i went with that instead.
I really had fun creating this and used Missiongold watercolours to colour the whole piece, I wanted a really bright colourful piece.
I thought the sentiment was perfect and i know i'd love to live somewhere like this...imagine how much fun it would be ! To finish off i added some of the new iridescent star crystals which are so pretty.
If i had to recommend one stamp set from this release as hard as it would be I'd recommend this one, its a large set and Katia has included so many elements such as birds, trashcans, road markings and even extra stair cases.
For my last card I used the Citrus Trimmings set along with the new Simple borders dies.
Whilst creating the above card I was playing around with orange, reds and yellows on some card and I liked how it looked and thought it went well with this set.
I heat embossed one of the stamps onto the piece and then used the curved die from the Simple Borders set to cut the edge of some Neenah card.
I used curved the sentiment stamp to match the curve of the die and stamped using Simon Says Stamp Black ink and then adhered everything to a A2 card base. A CAS card this one but one that was fun to create.
Thank you so much for stopping by and joining us on day one of the hop. What is your favourite new product ?
Happy hopping
