Hey lovelies, I do hope you all have a nice weekend ?
It was cold and wet here, but as many of you know I love the winter so for me I pulled on my fluffy pj's and socks and crafted for most of it.
I have a tutorial on the Spectrum Noir Blog about how I use refill inks to custom shaker material.
The tutorial can be found here and is a quick and easy method and one that's good for when you need a specific colour...if you are anything like me the colour I need seems to always be the one I don't have !
The card I created Is a Clean and Simple Christmas card using products from Concord & 9th.

I LOVE this Joy die, I really adore scripty font dies, but sometimes it is nice to have a nice block font. I have also used Stripe Builder Set from Concord & 9th which I stamped before die cutting.
I used my Fuse tool for the shaker pockets as I wanted this card to be fairly flat and also as the letters are quite close together I knew foam tape would be a nightmare to try and separate the different letter areas. I finished the card off with some Pretty Pink Posh sequins & some gems.
I do hope you will head on over and check the tutorial out.
Thank you for stopping by.
Have an amazing day & happy crafting

ReplyDeletefantastic and Gorgeous CAS card TracyWednesday I have a card coloured with the colorista pensils.Gr Karin
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous art! I love script fonts too but every now and then you need to a solid word die and that works beautifully here huni. Sorry I've not been around hun, I've been struggling with depression and loosing Eddy. I fell to bits for a few weeks and am just starting to surface. Saturday night was the first time I've crafted since it happened. Mo jo went completely for weeks and I was worried that I wouldn't want to craft again because I've never taken such a long break from crafting. The end of last week I started to feel the craft itch again and wanting to craft so it was nice to finally break out the stamps and stencils. I hope you have an awesome weekend huni xx
ReplyDeleteAwesome idea and design, Tracey! Love this CAS card with a lovely shaker element!
ReplyDeleteSuch a simple design but so effective and pretty with the different colour shakers for each letter. The stripes and block lettering give it a gorgeous modern feel with a little dash of pretty sequins to finish...fabulous :-)Big hugs, Kat xx
