Tutorial- Night/galaxy sky.

Hey lovelies.
I hope you are all doing good ? Sorry for lack of posts we had the dreaded lurky that seems to be going round at the moment and it knocked us on our buts ! But we are all better now and I have a ton of crafting ideas !

A little while back I did a photo tutorial for Spectrum Noir on creating Night/galaxy skies using Spectrum Noir Aquatints ( I will link to that tutorial below)
Since sharing that tutorial I have had a few emails and people asking if I would do a video tutorial.
And here it is !!

I hope you enjoyed the video. Now I have used Aquatints but honestly this works with any waterbased inks or paints, I have used my Mission Golds and it worked beautifully.
It is also a technique that looks AWFUL until the end when it all comes together, so stick with it.

I tend to create A4 sheets at a time so then I always have some hand to die cut, or use in cards and journals.
You will see in the video I made a shimmer mist, I did this by adding Mica/perfect pearls to some water in a spray bottle...this step is totally optional, but i like the gentle shimmer it adds.
You can also add gold or silver flicks...it really is a fun technique to play around with.

The card I created at the end I have used stamps from Mama Elephant along with MFT Blueprints dies (everything is linked below)

I coloured the little girl using my Spectrum Aqua Markers in a "no line" style. I wanted it too look like she was sitting by the window looking out.
To add something extra I added some star sequins to the sky and Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle pen to the sentiment banner.
I hope the video has helped those who asked, I really do encourage you to try the technique it is so easy and can be used in so many different ways.
If you want to check out the photo tutorial then head on over to the Spectrum Noir Blog
Thank you for stopping by my blog today.
I hope you all have an amazing day.
