The darkest nights produce the brightest stars...

Hiya lovelies, I hope you are all well and had a nice weekend ? We had a lazy weekend, and Sunday we had a Pj day which was lovely.

I wanted to share my latest card with you.
Now confession time...I am a Mama Elephant hoarder, I hold my hands up I have quite a few of their stamp sets that I have never used, not because i don't like them...I LOVE them, so much so I don't want to dirty them..haahaa crazy aren't I ?
But that being said this year I am making it my mission to use them all, they are lovely stamps and deserve to be used, not just sat and looked at.
The set I used to make this card is a special set to me for a few personal reason's and I loved using it.

Anyway here it is....
I knew i had to create a watercolour background for this so I used my Spectrum Aqua Pens to create it and then I added some Distress Ink around the edge to darken it up slightly.
I then did the water flick and blotted off with some tissue.

I have stamped this little cutie using Memento Ink in London Fog so it give a kinda no lines look. I then coloured her up using my Spectrum Noir Markers.
I then used a black gel pen to darken her, and her teddies eyes and nose and added some white dots to her hair bow and bag.

I have used an oval die to create the shape she is sitting on, I wanted it too look moonish ? so used some Distress Ink and again flicked some water over it.
I have used some foam tape to give her some dimension.

I really struggled too get a good picture to show the different tones in the background, and this was about best i could hubs ended up having to use his i-phone.
I love this sentiment so much and is such a personal one for me. I heat embossed it and then the final thing I did was using some clear star sequins...I told you I cannot go a card without using sequins of some kind.

I hope you like the card, I have to admit this is one I really loved creating.

Have a great day and happy crafting

  1. Fabulous Tracy, love the cute image and your stunning background. Its continuously annoying when you make a card you really love and can't get a decent picture! Although this looks fabulous. Roll on the summer.

  2. Brilliant designed creation...fabulous colours and I think it looks perfect. I get the same annoyance when taking pics......xx

  3. Thank goodness I am not the only one, lol. My best ideas come on the nights that I don't sleep well or the fibro pain is disturbing me too much. This is just beautiful!
I have been trying to get a Northern Lights look as well as a galaxy effect/look onto my card creations and you really rocked that look/feel here. Funnily enough I finally managed it a week or two ago. As soon as I stopped adding black ink or paint it worked lol.
I love how you have coloured the sweet image too and have recently realised that I do now need to get the Spectrum Noir alcohol pens and do a course to have any hope whatsoever to have a tiny bit of your skill with them Karen xx

  4. On now this is brilliant! Thanks for your lovely comment on my Blog today. Judy x

  5. Ha! I feel the same way... Maybe it's weird but there's something about the fresh crinkly sound when opening a brand new stamp set... It's marvelous! I made the same resolution this year to start using the gorgeous stamps and supplies instead of "saving" them :) this is such a beautiful card! I want that stamp set now :) and your coloring is amazing as always... I totally haven't graduated to "no line" yet!! ❤

  6. Tracy, this is fantastic! I love the way you did the background and of course that little image is so sweet and pretty with your beautiful coloring. The sentiment is AWESOME!!!! WOW! LOVE your card.

  7. Every time i think you have made the most beautiful card possible you post another effort which tops the last! Absolutely stunning!

  8. Oh Tracy, this is so sweet & very pretty!
I love the background you've created!
    Dawn xx
