CHA World Launch Spectrum Noir Aquas

I hope you all had a lovely holiday season...Happy New Year !!!
Sorry for my lack of blogging, for once I shut everything crafty down over the holiday period and enjoyed some time with the lovely other half and the was much needed and lovely.

I have something REALLY exciting to share with you today....well actually I have two things, come back later to check the other one out ;)
Spectrum Noir are doing a World Launch at CHA show this weekend of their new Markers, the Markers are Called Aqua's and as the name might suggest they are a waterbased pen....and they are fantastic ! They are very highly pigmented and can be used in so many different ways....think backgrounds, embossing techniques, you can stamp with them, use them directly onto the paper and blend with water, use them via a pallet...lots and lots of ways.

They come in 4 sets of 12 - Essentials, Nature, Floral & Primary, and unlike other items in the Spectrum Noir Range they do not work via a number system, they instead use colour names.

Now I will admit at first i was wary..I haven't watercoloured for many years, but once i got going i really have fallen in love with these...and they can be used along side the pencils too ...Just think of the backgrounds !!

Me and the rest of Design Team were very lucky and were given a full set to play with and create some samples for CHA, so I wanted to share my samples that I created with you today.

This first one i have used one of the cute Moonbeam Meadow stamps...The one huge plus for me about these markers is you can get some lovely depth with them.
Colours I have used are - Navy, Sunflower, Slate, Chesnut, Blosson, Purple, Leaf Green & Kingfisher.

This is using a stamp by Treasured Times, you can on the sand that you can easily layer colours too, which isn't always easy with Watercolours.
Colours I have used are- Topaz, Meadow, Teal, Aquamarine, Amber, Moss, Gold, Spice, Begonia & Burgundy.

This is probably my most favorite, and used Sheena Stamp, I have overstamped at the bottom. The colours i have used are-
Crimsom, Scarlet, Burgundy, Kingfisher, Leaf green & Teal.

This is a stamp I received free with a magazine many moons ago, I have over stamped it and used -Red Violet & Teal.

With this one I wanted to show it isn't all about colouring. I have used a Sheena Stamp and stamped and then clear embossed, I then used Sunflower & Amber to create a wash over the top.

I hope you like the samples, the launch is being broadcast live from CHA on Create & Craft at 12pm GMT on Saturday 10th January.
The rest of the dt have created some really amazing samples, so make sure you check out the Spectrum Noir Facebook page to see them.

Happy Crafting
