Morning everyone :) I hope you are well ?
Firstly sorry for my lack of visiting, I have been very busy and to add to it I have been poorly...but on the mend now and here I am today with a Window Hanger using some of the fab Visible Image Stamps
So how did I create it ? Well firstly i started by cutting 2 hearts with the centre removed, I used Greyboard to do this but any think card is ok.
I then took my black Spectrum Noir and coloured the hearts, make sure you go around all the edges.
You then need to take some Acetate and pick a selection of Spectrum Noir pens...it can be any Alcohol marker, but it has to be alcohol, the colours I used are listed at the bottom...Random ally colour your acetate, i wanted the effect of grass, sky, sun with mine , but you can do anything.
Now take your blender refil and drop a drop onto a paintbrush and flick, now the trick to this is too build up the effect, but have fun with it.
This was after a few mins and was the effect I wanted, set it aside to dry fully for 10 mins.
I then took the flower from More Than Words Thank you set & Butterfly stamp and stamped on the reverse (take that into account when stamping, you can stamp on the same side but the stamp won't be crisp), make sure you use Stazon ink for this, I then stamped the butterfly image onto some Acetate and cut it out and put to one side.
Now using a good strong glue (I use Collall all purpose) you need to glue your heart frame on either side of your acetate and leave to dry.
Once dry you want to punch a hole to hang it by and then seal the card, I have used Globecraft & Piccolo Glastique Finishing Glaze, but Glossy Accents or even UTEE would work.
Once dry take your Butterfly and bend up the wings and fix over the stamped butterfly so that you have a 3D effect.
I then added a layer of Spray & Sparkle to give it a extra layer of protection and also some sparkle.
And there you have it, a fun technique which will be totally unique each and everytime.
